Tapojärvi Oy has appointed two new members to its Board of Directors: Juha Marttila and Juha Ylimaunu. The appointments support the company’s strategic focus on international growth, industrial circular economy solutions, and the development of low-carbon technologies.
Tapojärvi has introduced a new site accommodation concept in the immediate vicinity of Agnico Eagle Finland’s Kittilä gold mine. Completed in December, the development represents a new type of solution for Tapojärvi: a relocatable small-house complex built on leased land next to the mine.
The start of the contract marks a significant return for Tapojärvi to a familiar operating environment, as the company also served as the mine’s main contractor from 2018 to 2023.
In July 2022, the stainless steel slags processed by Tapojärvi Italia received Italy’s End of Waste (EoW) status. This achievement launched a development pathway with no precedent in stainless steel production processes.
