Tapojärvi has completed two row house projects close to the worksite in Siilinjärvi. The apartments are intended for employee use during long contract period. The investment aims to enhance employee well-being and make everyday life more convenient.
Comfortable Accommodation Boosts Well-being
Some employees commute to Siilinjärvi from other regions. Accommodation near the workplace reduces weekly travel time and frees up more time for leisure. For Tapojärvi, it is important that traveling employees have comfortable living conditions during their shifts. The completed new apartments have good indoor air quality, and they are clean and homely.
The Matinpolku row house complex consists of 11 apartments and a carport. Construction was completed in December 2024. The first five apartments were ready to move into before Christmas, and the remaining six were finished in January.
Positive Feedback about the new accommodation
The construction project of the new row houses in Matinpolku followed after the completion of Linnuntie row houses build in October 2023 in the same region. Once the Linnuntie apartments were finished, construction at Matinpolku began. The Matinpolku site was previously known as Jussintie, but the address was changed during the permit process conducted by the authorities.
Both projects were carried out by the local contractor RV-talot Oy, and the collaboration went smoothly.
Property engineer Eveliina Rousu says the new apartments have received positive feedback from employees.
“I believe no one was upset about moving from old apartment buildings to the new row houses,” Rousu commented on the transition.
Now that the Matinpolku apartments are completed, there are currently no new construction projects planned in Siilinjärvi.
