Tapojärvi has achieved a bronze level in the international EcoVadis sustainability assessment. The latest evaluation yielded 65 out of 100 points, placing Tapojärvi ahead of 76% of peer companies in the mining services industry.
“We are pleased with the result. We made a clear improvement and surpassed the bronze threshold by a solid margin. In previous evaluations, this score could have reached gold level. Today, the levels are determined relative to peer companies, not based on absolute scores. Our next goal is silver level, which only 15% of companies in the sector reach,” says Aki Pekuri, Development Manager of Operational Functions.
Improvements Across All Areas
EcoVadis is an internationally recognized evaluation system that measures companies’ sustainability in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Tapojärvi scored well in the environmental and labor/human rights categories and improved its scores across all assessment areas.
A strong ranking in the EcoVadis assessment strengthens Tapojärvi’s position as a responsible operator and demonstrates the company’s commitment to developing sustainable practices both internally and with its partners.
