Tapojärvi Sverige and Kaunis Iron enter into a mining service agreement

Tapojärvi Sverige AB has signed an agreement with Kaunis Iron AB for a mining service assignment at the company’s open pit mine in Kaunisvaara, Pajala municipality. The agreement comes into force in January 2024 and covers machine work within the ore production chain as well as production support work.

– “We are happy to start a new co-operation with Kaunis Iron. We will support and be a part of the community in the same way in Pajala as we are in our other locations, says Mari Pilventö, CEO of Tapojärvi Sverige AB.

The assignment means that we need to recruit employees and our ambition is to employ as many as possible from Pajala and the surrounding area.

– Recruitment starts immediately and we will as far as possible recruit locally. In addition to new hires, we are investing in a new, modern machine park and continuing our investments in digitalisation to optimise delivery to our customers,” says Anssi Rytkönen, Director of Mining Section at Tapojärvi
