Tapojärvi builds terraced houses for its employees near the Yara Siilinjärvi mine
In 2023, Tapojärvi received a total of 1,160 applications from 1,070 jobseekers. Some of the jobseekers applied for more than one job at Tapojärvi. The number of applicants increased by over 50% compared to 2022.
Tapojärvi had vacancies in multiple locations. In early 2023, new experts were hired in Siilinjärvi, and dozens of applicants were recruited in Pajala at the end of the year.
Tapojärvi has a constant job search open for new applicants. The company also organises targeted job searches.
“Our recruitment needs are versatile and change rapidly. At the moment, we have a shortage of maintenance and service personnel, for example,” says Janne Alatalo, Chief Administration Officer.
In 2023, Tapojärvi also recruited IT and communications experts as well as engineers in various fields. In addition, there were open positions in loading, transportation and quarrying in Tapojärvi’s mining operations. Over the year, Tapojärvi also hired several people for managerial positions in Finland, Sweden, and Italy.
Currently, Tapojärvi companies employ approximately 800 people.
